Sullivan cruises to victory in Opening Round
Feb 21, 2012 - The Sullivan CCC Lady Generals defeated visiting Dutchess, 83-32, Monday night in an opening round game of the 2012 Mid Hudson Conference Women's Basketball Tournament. With the victory, Sullivan advances to Friday's semi-final round and will oppose top-seeded Westchester. Tip-off is set for 7pm and will be part of doubleheader at SUNY Orange. Tournament host Orange will take on third seeded Rockland in the evening's opening game at 5pm.

Feb 18, 2012 - Westchester's Brittney Marbury tops the NJCAA DIII 3-pt Field Goal Percentage making 33 out of 70 from beyond the arc as of February 18. Dutchess' Nicole Battistoni is ranked 12th while Rockland's Katie Sovak and Nikki Saponaro are ranked 15th and 16th respectively.
Luna Jefferson of Sullivan is ranked 24th in Individual Scoring leading the Lady Generals with 16 points per game. Westchester's Sara Franco and Janejellica Johnson are ranked 9th and 14th in Field Goal Percentage with the duo shooting 55% and 52% respectively.
Rockland's Christine Brezovsky is ranked fourth in Free Throw Percentage making 61 out of 73 from the line (84%). Teammate Sovak is ranked 25th with 73% shooting.
In the Assist department, Westchester's Jessica Negron is ranked 19th dishing out 4.25 per game. Brezovsky is ranked 22nd with 3.6 steals per game. Negron is also ranked 5th in Steals department with 4.5 swipes per game. Rockland's Saponaro is ranked 15th with 3.6 steals per game.
Johnson's 3.045 blocks per game ranked her 5th in the Blocks department. While Dutchess' Dominique Douglas is ranked 12th blocking 2.5 shots per game.
Rockland and Sullivan are ranked as a team. The Lady Hawks are ranked sixth in Team 3pt Field Goal Percentage, 9th in Team Defensive Average, limiting their opponents to 51.78 points per game. While their 62.96 points per game ranks them 24th in Team Offensive Average.They are also ranked 21st in Free Throw Percentage making 60% from the line. The Lady Generals are ranked 25th in Team Defensive Average limiting their opponents to 58.26 points per game while Sullivan is ranked 24th in Team Field Goal Percentage.

Lady Vikings recorded three wins last week

Feb 6, 2012 - Westchester added three wins to their great season beating Sullivan (65-54), Orange (44-39) and Bronx (67-20) last week bringing their record to 19-3 overall and 13-2 in Region XV. The Lady Vikings are also undefeated in the Mid-Hudson Conference with a 5-0 record.

Rockland defeats Orange 59-48
Avenge early season loss
Jan. 31, 2012 - Rockland avenged their early season loss to Orange by beating the Lady Colts 59-48 last night at Middletown, New York. Nanuet graduate Christine Brezovsky scored 12 points to lead the Lady Hawks. Pearl River graduate Melissa Loughhane and G.F. Baker graduate Katie Sovak added 11 and 11 respectively.

Rockland's Brezovsky leads nation in FT percentage
Dec 22, 2011 - Christine Brezovsky of Rockland tops NJCAA Division III in Free Throw Percentage. The Nanuet High graduate has made 25 out of 27 free throws for a 93% accuracy from the line. Meanwhile, teammate Nikki Saponaro is eight in 3pt Field Goal Percentage making 17 out of 38 from the arc. Westchester's Brittany Marbury is second in the nation, making 12 out of 18 shots. Marbury also is tenth in Field Goal Percentage (58%) while teammate Natalia Leonardo is sixth with a 65%. Westchester's Jessica Negron is seventh in steals averaging 4 steals per game.
In Team Category, Rockland is eight in Team Defensive Average holding their opponents to 51 points per game.

Dec 20, 2011 - The Lady Vikings continued their undefeated season with a 57-37 home win over Mid-Hudson conference rival Orange CCC. The Lady Vikings was also featured in the Examiner as they stay in the Top 10 NJCAA Rankings

Dec 13, 2011 - The Lady Generals of Sullivan are currently leading the region in scoring, averaging 70.5 points in 10 games. Westchester is second with 67.4 average in 8 games.
Meanwhile the Lady Hawks of Rockland tops the region in defense allowing opponents to only score an average of 46.4 points in nine games. The Lady Vikings of Westchester is second allowing opponents 51.5 points in 8 games. Rockland also leads the region in Free Throw percentage making 94 out of 161 for a 58.4 percent in the line. Sullivan is second with 55%.
In individual categories, Sullivan's Constance Fripp and Kunnuh Wisseh leads the region in rebounding with an average of 11 and 10 boards per game respectively. While Westchester's Janejellica Johnson is fifth with 9 rebounds per game. Her teammate, Jessica Negron leads the region in assist, dishing out 5 per game while Rockland's Nikki Saponaro is fourth averaging 3.9 assist per game. Rockland beats Sullivan
Lady Hawks on a two-game winning streak
Dec. 06, 2011 - Nanuet graduate Nikki Saponaro scored 16 points to lead the Lady Hawks of Rockland past the Lady Generals of Sullivan 50-40 tonight at the Eugene Levy Fieldhouse.
The Lady Hawks scored the first basket of the game and never trailed. Monroe Woodbury graduate Stephanie Burke added 11. The Lady Generals were led by Constance Fripp with 13.
Rockland will travel to Valhalla, New York this weekend to participate in the Winston Nicholas Classic hosted by Westchester Community College.

Nov. 29, 2011 - Brittani Romanelli scored 16 points and teammates Molly Gillespie and Shedarian Daniels netted 14 points each to lead the visiting Colts past the Hawks, 56-50. Tuxedo graduate Katie Sovak led Rockland with 14 points.
